Obsidian Transparent Glass Vase No:2 technically questions the balance between "permeability" and "mass" in its design. This curatorial object brings together Obsidian, "natural glass" formed millions of years ago as a result of volcanic activity, and modern glass, brought to life by the artisan's breath, in a vertical form. Compared to the first piece in the series, No:2 is characterized by the glass adhering to the sharp edges of the stone at a wider angle, maximizing the reflection capacity of both materials under light.
The black, metallic luster and characteristic rough texture of the Obsidian rock are in direct contact with the smooth surface of the transparent body. This contact is a permanent testament to that critical manufacturing moment when hot glass was shaped by the freezing coldness of the stone. It is not just a decorative element in modern and minimalist spaces, but also an art object that offers a geological testimony.
